Fuel categories for the Czech e-vignette
In Czechia, the price category follows the powertrain type recorded in the central vehicle register.
Most common category
Standard fuel
This includes petrol, diesel, LPG and also hybrids with CO₂ emissions above 50 g/km. For most conventional passenger cars, this is the default Czech category.
CNG or LNG only
Natural gas
This group is for vehicles officially registered as CNG or LNG. LPG does not count for this reduced category.
Registered bio-CNG
Biomethane
This applies to vehicles explicitly registered as biomethane-powered. It is not enough that the vehicle can technically use this type of fuel.
Up to 50 g/km CO₂
Plug-in hybrid
This category is for plug-in hybrids with certified CO₂ emissions up to 50 g/km. Above that threshold, the vehicle returns to the standard fuel category.

Electric vehicles today
Pure battery-electric vehicles do not currently pay for the Czech vignette, but under current policy discussions this may change from 2027.

How to order a vignette?
To register a Czech motorway vignette, enter the vehicle registration number and select the country of registration. Information about the fuel type should be filled in automatically after entering the registration number.
Choose a 1-day, 10-day, 30-day or annual vignette and set the start date of validity. The electronic vignette can become valid immediately or on a date of your choice.
Enter the email address where you want the registration confirmation and receipt sent. Optionally, you can set a notification before your electronic motorway vignette expires.
Pay online by card, QR code, or using Google Pay or Apple Pay – fast and secure payment. We use trusted and secure payment methods through the PayU payment gateway.
You will receive a payment confirmation by email within a few minutes. Your electronic highway vignette will then be processed and confirmed.

In the Czech Republic, a valid motorway vignette is required for passenger vehicles up to 3.5 t. It can be purchased online for 1 day, 10 days, 30 days or 1 year. Vehicles over 3.5 t must pay tolls, which we do not offer.

In Slovakia, a valid highway vignette is required for passenger vehicles up to 3.5 t and trailers of categories O1 and O2. You can order it online for 1, 10, 30 or 365 days.
